Bringing the Beer to Woodbridge

It seems like a lifetime ago, but it hasn’t even been two years yet:  There were no breweries in Woodbridge. None.

That was 2015; the dark ages of Woodbridge beer. Those of us who lived here lamented having to drive 20-30 minutes to get to the nearest tap room. If you were lucky, there was a brewery near your office, or on your way home from work, but then there was traffic, and more often than not, it just complicated matters. Aside from a few “craft beer hip” spots in town, we were on our own.

13606498_1097662460299499_2529314156510632115_nIt happened on a warm Friday morning in early July, 2016: the long-awaited arrival of the Brew Republic Bierwerks brewery tanks. Except I say so many things, if I don’t specify which quote I’m talking about right now, this post is going to be more confusing than this opening stanza. Hopefully, you understand why I have to repeat myself in this case.
