Not everyone likes surprises. Here’s what you can expect to find currently flowing from the taps in our brewery’s tap room.

Virginia IPA (VAIPA)

India Pale Ale | 6.5% ABV | 55.0 IBU

Our signature, hop-forward East Coast IPA is made by Virginians, for Virginians. VaIPA (or Virginia IPA) is brewed with 100% locally sourced Virginia pride and attitude to create a hoppy yet smooth finishing delight. The rock-solid pale and crystal malt bill and aggressive hop schedule of citrus and floral hops are in perfect harmony and deliver a clean, well-balanced, malty sweet and citrusy flavor. We also add late additions and dry hops to craft a prominent floral hop aroma that finishes the beer perfectly. VaIPA embodies the surging Virginia craft beer industry and is a beer we can all be proud to say is “made in Virginia.” Sic semper zythum!

Abide

American Blonde Ale | 5.2% ABV | 21.6 IBU

Abide is a traditional, malt-forward, light-bodied and easy drinking ale. Balanced with sweet malt flavors and modest hop notes, our blonde is approachable and less assertive than our other ales, yet completely satisfying, particularly on a hot summer afternoon. The sweet malt notes together with very subtle bitter hop notes means Abide is an easy-drinking “every man’s” kind of beer. We bet you can’t have just one.

The Night Mare

Oatmeal Stout | 5.5% ABV | 30.3 IBU

The Night Mare is a jet black, medium-bodied dry stout that pours with a tan, creamy head. The flavor is dominated by dark roasted grains that provide coffee and chocolate flavor notes, as well as oats that provide a grainy creaminess. The hops are subdued for balance. This stout will haunt your dreams, and you will thank her for it. Virginia Craft Brewers Cup 2018 Medal Winner.

Vanguard

Irish Red Ale | 5.5% ABV | 21.0 IBU

When the Irish sought independence from England, they set out to create a free state where they could throw off the yoke of tyranny and live their lives the way they saw fit. We brewed our Irish Red Ale with that same spirit of freedom in mind. Vanguard is a traditional, balanced, easy-drinking, red-copper-colored ale with a subtle hoppy bitterness and a dry finish. It has a moderate malty aroma and a clean and smooth flavor of biscuit maltiness and caramel sweetness. Close your eyes; you might imagine you’ve escaped to your own free state!

Freestyle Alliance

Juicy IPA | 7.0% ABV | 50 IBU

This beer is supposed to taste like a glass of juice. Freestyle Alliance Juicy IPA is made with wheat malt and flaked oats for mouthfeel and El Dorado, Simcoe, and Citra hops, which are responsible for the juicy sweet citrusy flavor. This beer was initially a collaboration between Brew Republic Bierwerks of Woodbridge and Jay’s Brewing of Manassas, in honor of American Craft Beer Week 2017, but it’s been so popular, we generally have it available year-round. Here’s to the freedom to brew great beer!

Guerrilla Series

Rotating Pilot Series | Various ABV | Various IBU

The Guerrilla Series is Brew Republic’s pilot/experimental series. We’ll be releasing a new pilot batch of experimental and rare beer every Monday. Stay tuned to newsletters and social media for specifics week to week. Only 10 gallons of each Guerrilla will exist, and when it’s gone, it’s gone. First come, first serve. No growler fills. You’ve been warned.

Republic Root Beer

Root Beer | 0.0% ABV | N/A IBU

Not everyone wants to drink alcohol; not everyone is old enough to drink alcohol. Fortunately, not all beer contains alcohol. We gave our fermenters a rest and brewed up a sweet treat for young and old! Presenting Republic Root Beer, a 100% caffeine and alcohol free libation that is good for the soul and the sweet tooth. Our root beer is brewed with local honey from local bees for a more full bodied root beer experience. That local honey might also help you fight off allergies. It’s a pretty sweet deal.

Treacherry

Imperial Stout | 9.0% ABV | 70.0 IBU

Chocolate and cherry-lovers rejoice! Treacherry is a jet-black imperial stout brewed with Oregonian tart cherries. This beast is packed with enormous (but deceptively drinkable) flavors of dark bread crust, decadent dark chocolate-covered cherries, plum, and roasted coffee, and finishes with drying alcohol warmth and cocoa/baker’s chocolate. It pairs great with desert, or you can enjoy it on its own… embrace the dark side.

HaRye-E Five-0

Double IPA | 8.2% ABV | 87.0 IBU

East meets West with our new Rye Double IPA! Inspired by East Coast IPAs and the hop forward and drier examples found on the west coast and the pacific islands, this DIPA is brimming with tropical fruit and citrus, while still retaining the malty character and resinous kick of the “old school” classics. The addition of Rye, combined with a slightly higher alcohol content, gives it a slightly spicy and warming finish. Grab your board and catch a couple, but more than two of these and the “Five-0” might show. Book ’em, Danno!

McKinley’s Cream

Irish Cream Oatmeal Stout | 5.5% ABV | 30.3 IBU

An Irish Cream twist on our Virginia Craft Brewers Cup 2018 Medal Winner Night Mare Oatmeal Stout. It’s simply delicious; you won’t be able to drink just one.

Requiem with Chocolate

Baltic Porter | 8.8% ABV | 30.0 IBU

Requiem is a full-bodied, slightly dry Baltic Porter brewed with a complex blend of British and German malt, roasted barley, and liquid chocolate, giving it a rich flavor profile that consists of milk chocolate, toffee sweetness, chocolate-covered berries, caramel, honey, and toast. The intricate taste is perfectly complemented by a dash of English hops and alcohol heat, ideal for a cold night along the Baltic Sea (or the Potomac River).

Berry, Queen of Sours

Imperial Blackberry Sour Ale | 8.3% ABV | 3.0 IBU

Welcome to the Queen’s court! Berry, Queen of Sours is an imperial-strength sour ale brewed with blackberries, making it a sweet, tart, boozy, and pink masterpiece. At 8.3% ABV, you’ll need to keep calm and carry on before she yells “Off with your head!” Long live the Queen.
