Is all our beer made on-site?

Absolutely. All Brew Republic beer (including our alcohol/caffeine free root beer) is made on site at our Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center location (our one and only location… for now) on our 10BBL production brewery system.

Do we fill growlers?

We do. We will fill 32oz or 64oz growlers with any beer we have available on tap.

Do we sell kegs?

We do. We have half-BBL and sixth-BBL kegs available in each of our beers available on tap (and some before they are on tap). Keg deposit required.

Why don’t we have a full food menu?

We are not, nor do we wish to be, a full service restaurant. We are a brewery that serves small plate/tapas style food to complement our beer. That said, we aim to elevate the traditional “bar food” by having fantastically tasty snacks to complement our deliciously crafted beer.

Do we offer free wifi?

We do, and we encourage you to come in and connect. In addition, we have power outlets lined around the bar (under the counter-top) for your device-charging needs.

What sort of events and activities do we have?

We try to keep a full schedule. Mondays are Randall nights. Tuesday trivia. Sometime during the weekend, we’ll have a Republic Live! event, generally on Saturday nights.  Every second Saturday morning each month we have our Detox and Retox/Beer & Yoga class. Every Sunday and any other major sport event day, we’ll have those on our 6 taproom televisions.  Soon, we’ll be introducing our Painting & Beer, Beer 101 and Introduction to Home Brewing classes — and maybe karaoke too. And of course, we can’t forget our Monday-Friday Happy Hour, 3-7pm where we offer $2 off 12oz pours; 25% food; $4.50 glasses of Canyon Road Chardonnay, Merlot, or Cabernet.  Check out our Events page for more details.

Do we have a beer club?

We do. Consider this your nomination to our Beer Commission. Click here to learn more.

#ToTheRepublic?

We love it when our citizens (that’s you) tag posts and photos with #ToTheRepublic and #ANewNationOfBeer. In fact, if you tag your photos with #ToTheRepublic on Instagram, those photos will automatically post to places on our website (see right sidebar), as well as our taproom info television page. Checking in with Untappd also gets you a spot on our website.

Do we serve any other alcoholic beverages besides beer?

In addition to the beer we make on site, we have a limited selection of wine available in the taproom. And, on occasion we’ll offer a mulled beer (reminiscent of a warmed spiced holiday cider), beer nog during the winter holidays (very popular!), and other themed beer derived beverages associated with special events we have in the taproom.

How often does our menu change?

Frequently, but it is usually small tweaks. We’re always listening to our citizen’s feedback, so we’re always making changes. We typically have a couple food menu changes a week, and a new beer on tap every other week — but that timetable will speed up as we move forward. Also, we often have specials — like Randall concoctions and food items our chef dreams up that are offered on a day-to-day basis.  We also have weekly food features too.

When are we open?

Every day. M-Th 2pm-10pm; F-Sat 12-11pm; Sun 12-10pm. That said, if you have a big group and you want us to stay open late or open early, let us know and we’ll try to accommodate.  We also often extend hours on certain national holidays and for special event/parties we have in the taproom.

Can we accommodate large groups?

Yes! We enjoy having large groups in the tap room. If you can, call ahead to make sure space is available but most of the time it shouldn’t be a problem either way. Please note that a 18% gratuity may be automatically added for groups of 6 or more.

Do we do brewery tours?

Yes! Officially we do tours Saturdays at 12 and 2pm, but if we have brewery staff available, we try to accommodate doing them upon request.

Are we kid/family friendly?

Absolutely. In fact, you’ll often see management’s kids running around from time to time.  We have a special children’s menu with educational puzzles and we provide crayons (and even a Sunday foodball special menu/activity sheet).  We also have house-made root beer so kids can get in on the beverage enjoyment!

Would we be allowed to bring in outside food?

    • 10/24/2016

Generally, no, but we take these requests on a case-by-case basis. We serve great, high-end tapas style (small plate) foods — that you can easily make into a meal when you put two or three plates together. We’re continually improving upon our menu to respond to feedback we receive, most recently adding soups and sandwich type items to the menu.
