The Ground on Which We Stand

Vision, Mission, Philosophy

Independent Craft Beer SealBrew Republic is more than just a craft brewery and tap room – it’s an identity – it’s the idea that beer can and should be better. It’s an oasis in the barren landscape of flavorless, industrial, big beer that has dominated the American beer scene for generations. It’s a place you can escape to and a place you long to return to. It’s also the people – our customers (we like to call them “citizens”), and our employees (our “agents”) who work diligently to provide thirsty beer seekers with a better option. We are all a new nation of beer drinkers, makers, enthusiasts, advocates and story-tellers.

Brew Republic, the idea, can trace its roots back to decades ago when small, independent American brewers disregarded the status quo that was big beer, and began making beer the way it was supposed to be made – full-flavored, with proper ingredients and techniques. It is a revolution that began at the grassroots level, and over time, has grown to levels never before seen by the thirsty beer-drinking masses of this great land. Finally, after nearly a century without a better option, we live in a world where good beer is everywhere!

Our chapter in this story began in 2008 when our brew master and head brewer began their fascination with craft beer and home brewing. Over time, their love of great beer translated into a desire to brew professionally, and the foundation of what would become Brew Republic was established.

Brew Republic is woven into the fabric of the local community, with a particular focus on the needs and wants of the customer and offering a better beer option to those thirsty for higher quality. Our beers are made with premium ingredients that are locally sourced when available and we concentrate our sales efforts on the local market. We orchestrate local beer-centric events and partner with local businesses and organizations, as well as charity organizations in order to give back to the community. In other words, Brew Republic is a brewery by the people and for the people.

So when we talk about Brew Republic, it is not just a brewery and it not just the beer – it is a rising nation of people who deserve better, and we mean to work tirelessly to see that they get it.

About the Brewery

All Brew Republic beer is brewed at our 4,000 square foot headquarters, located in the heart of Woodbridge, Virginia at the Stonebridge at Potomac Town Center. Our facility features a ten barrel brewing system that turns out 20 barrels of craft-brewed deliciousness per week (1,000 barrels per year) and a full-service tap room where we serve no fewer than six styles of our beer at a time. We also offer upscale small-plate, appetizer and snack foods from our kitchen and various entertainment options and weekly events in our tap room, such as live music, trivia, radio bingo, beer tastings and food pairings, flight nights, growler hours, firkin tappings and even beer education events. Our tap room is also available for private events upon request.

Hi, do you allow under 21 but above 18 into your establishment? Specifically for big events like NYE? Thanks

    • 12/24/2018

We allow any age, and are proud to be a family friendly brewery. Of course, you must be 21 or older to consume alcolholic beverages, but otherwise, everyone is welcome. We have house-made root beer on tap for the kids to get in on the tap action (or anyone else).
